Content creators have been getting into lots of drama, even in present times. The bigger controversies involve criminal activity.
The most common YouTube content creator controversy nowadays is predatory behavior. It is usually the adults, who are the creators, trying to build up an inappropriate relationship with a minor, who are the victims in this type of controversy. And this is not a good type of relationship at all. This is called grooming.
Most of the time, the adults in these incidents apologize in the worst way, whether they bring up “ukeleles or cupcakes”, or blame the minor for texting them in the first place. Then after they leave the internet for several months, maybe get therapy, then sometimes come back like they haven’t just broken the law.
If a minor is talking to an adult inappropriately in the first place, it is the responsibility of the adult to block them and move on.
